Welcome to the exhibition Nature Morte. The title refers to the French expression for still life, Nature Morte, which means ‘dead nature’ and describe artworks depicting inanimate, commonplace objects like flowers, fruit or household items. It highlights the transience of life, often featuring symbolic items and meanings. In this exhibition, the title is interpreted in the original meaning but also in a metaphorical way, offering visitors a surprising, beautiful and existentialistic experience filling all the exhibition space in the gallery.
10 artists have worked to create artworks in mutual dialogue : Charlotte Madsen / digital drawings – Signe Bay 3D installations and photographic prints / Lene Vidding and Stine Sommer : sculpture / Holger Bak, Lone Ertbølle, Roar Kjærnstad, Liza Krügermeier : painting / Alex Pasqual : drawings / Mariann Johansen-Ellis : etchings and linocuts
