Leros & Liza´s GalleryNews:

Liza´s Gallery opened in Leros back in 2003. The gallery was situated in an old building in the picturesque street connecting Platanos with Agia Marina.

In 2004, the gallery expanded to a bigger location across the road, providing artists with the opportunity to show larger collections of work.

During the summers of 2005, 2006 and 2007, Liza´s Gallery arranged about 30 exhibitions with artist from all over the world.

Rupert Sutton and Liza Krügermeier also worked together with the local school,

The School Projects:

From 2005 - 2007 Liza´s Gallery has worked together with the local school in

Agia Marina, supervising creative projects for the children.

"Spring and it´s Colours" took place in

2005 with painting lessons in all classes at the school provided by Rupert Sutton and Liza Krügermeier. All the children then participated in a painting and drawing contest with art material prizes for the winners. All the submitted art work was then exhibited in the school and later on in Liza´s Gallery.

In the beginning of 2007 the couple taught basic drawing in the older classes, followed by still life practice.

In the summer of 2007, they were awarded

a prize for their work and commitment by headmaster, Kostas Aslanidis and teacher Ourania.
